Two Chicks & a Banjo are a funky, quirky, yet soulful London based trio performing an eclectic mix of jazz, swing, soul, r’n’b, reggae and popular hits from 1920s – 2000s; using a blend of harmonic vocals and a dexterously strummed ukulele! Collectively, Yasmine, Shakella and Ryan have worked on a variety of live and studio recorded projects – which have seen them perform at: Indigo O2, Royal Festival Hall, Hackney Empire, Edinburgh Festival, Carnival Del Dueblo, as well as national tours backing the likes of Gwen Dickie (Rose Royce) and Shayla Bonnick (Boney M). ‘Two chicks & a Banjo’ love to create as well as perform and are currently working on original material due for release at the end of the year.
